Cut from a soft, slightly lived-in velvet in sage green, the embroidery is worked in the same tone as the ground — pomegranates, round and full, outlined in gentle satin stitch and tufted fill, creeping up from the lower corners as if they grew there. You notice them slowly. First the texture, then the form, then the fruit.
